Consultation on Admissions Policy 2028/29
Blue Coat Church of England School, part of Inspire Education Trust, is inviting parents, carers and members of the wider community to have their say on its proposed Admissions Policy for September 2028.
The consultation period will run from 16th October 2026 to 27th November 2026.
As part of the consultation, the Board of Directors of Inspire Education Trust is seeking feedback on proposed changes to the school's admissions arrangements.
The key proposed changes include:

Staff admission criteria: Extending eligibility to qualifying staff employed at any school within Inspire Education Trust, rather than exclusively at Blue Coat School. The eligibility requirement for part-time teaching staff has also been updated to 45% FTE.

Sixth Form admissions: Updating the entry criteria to explicitly include English and Mathematics.
We welcome feedback from parents, carers, staff, prospective families and other interested parties. All comments received will be carefully considered before the policy is finalised.

The deadline for submitting feedback is Friday 27th November 2026.
