Our School Prayer

Our School Prayer expresses our shared hopes for the Blue Coat community. It is used regularly across the school and has recently been translated into different languages represented within our diverse community.

Father God, Thank You for Your kindness and love for our Blue Coat School Family. May Your Goodness guide us in all we do. Help us to live inclusively, embrace diversity and make everyone feel welcome, valued and loved. Teach us to care for one another with open hearts, showing love and compassion. Guide us to live with integrity - fostering peace, healing, and reconciliation in all our relationships and encounters. May You support our hard work and diligence. Show us Your light even when the path is tough. We pray you will fill our hearts with respect and guide us to act with kindness and mercy. Help us live in truth, purity, and righteousness - not just in our words but in our actions. Together we serve, every turn, every curve. No matter our challenges, we will unite and help one another flourish and learn. Thank You for being our perfect example - calling us to live life in all its fullness. Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

Assemblies

Remembrance Assembly

Our Headteacher, Mrs Henden and Chaplain Luke take us through the meaning of Remembrance, sharing why it still matters today and how we can use our own power for good.

 Togetherness Assembly

A digital assembly led by Mrs Wright and Chaplain Luke, reflecting on Togetherness and celebrating the achievements, experiences and shared values that bring the Blue Coat family together.

Our Approach to Collective Worship

At Blue Coat, we have developed a dedicated 'BLESSED' framework to support the planning and delivery of Collective Worship across our school.

Our approach helps ensure that worship is distinctly Christian, meaningful and varied, providing opportunities for pupils to engage with Christian teaching, prayer, reflection, celebration and the traditions of the Church.

The framework supports staff in creating consistent and purposeful worship experiences while allowing for different forms of worship throughout the school year. It is an important part of how we ensure Collective Worship reflects our Christian character and supports our vision of ‘Living life in all its fullness’ John 10:10.

Our full Collective Worship framework is an internal school resource and is therefore not published online*
